The Annual Paul E. Johnson Memorial Soirée was first held in 2009 in honor of one of one of the founding members of Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom's [MSPIB] Board of Directors.
Paul's husband, Kevin W. Johnson, organized the event every year and was an avid supporter of the Mission of MSPIB for beautification, preservation, and revitalization in Downtown Portsmouth, Ohio.
The event series is now named to honor the legacy of both Paul and Kevin Johnson by continuing the work to which they dedicated their lives.
The annual Memorial Soirée is a fundraiser for MSPIB's Design Committee, which oversees beautification efforts.
THE 16TH ANNUAL
PAUL E. & KEVIN W. JOHNSON MEMORIAL
For many years, Kevin W. Johnson and his group of friends hosted a Soirée in memory of his late husband, Paul E. Johnson.
Proceeds raised at the Paul E. Johnson Memorial Soirée were donated to Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom's Design Committee for the beautification of Downtown Portsmouth.
Kevin W. Johnson died in 2023, and Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom wishes to carry on his legacy of fundraising for Downtown beautification through entertaining social events.
In 2025, we are celebrated the Paul E. & Kevin W. Johnson Memorial event with, "A Candlelight Christmas Concert featuring Jacob Tolliver!"
This intimate candlelight concert will took place on Tuesday, December 9, at Marting's.

The Paul E. and Kevin W. Johnson Memorial Fund is the MSPIB endowment managed by the Scioto Foundation.
This fund is used to continue the beautification efforts of MSPIB's Design Committee in Downtown Portsmouth.
Contributions to the fund may be made during the Scioto Gives event in October and all year round through the Scioto Foundation or MSPIB.
