Riverfront Picnic
Project

Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom is partnering with the City of Portsmouth to supplement the Riverfront Development Project made possible by a $34 million invested in our Riverfront through the State of Ohio's Appalachian Community Grant Program.

The Riverfront Picnic Project seeks to maintain a consistent, high quality streetscape in Downtown Portsmouth.
We are actively fundraising to purchase 18 Memorial Picnic Tables, 3 ADA Accessible Picnic Tables, 12 Trash Cans, and a number of Memorial Benches to be added to the Portsmouth Riverfront by the time of the Riverfront Development Project's completion in October 2026.
We are grateful to the Scioto Foundation for kicking off this fundraising drive by supporting the Riverfront Picnic Project with a $15,000 grant!

Thank you to the Peoples Bank Foundation for their $5,000 grant supporting the Riverfront Picnic Project!

The goal of the Riverfront Picnic Project is to raise a total of $100,000 to cover the cost of the same durable site furnishings that Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom volunteers have installed throughout the Boneyfiddle Historic District and the Downtown Improvement District.

These same picnic tables, trash cans, and benches have been in place at Alexandria Park for the last 20 years.
Join the effort and leave a legacy on the Ohio River by sponsoring a Memorial Picnic Table on the Portsmouth Riverfront today!
