A prosperous downtown – or the lack of one – can affect the community’s ability to attract and retain the residents, investments, jobs, and tourists. By stimulating local business development, reinvesting in historic buildings, and embracing our unique characteristics, we can reconnect with the Portsmouth community as the center for local pride to live, work, and play.

As a 501c3 we are an economic development organization that works specifically to enhance the district and improve the image of downtown while promoting the great stores and unique architecture. Join our team of volunteers, small business owners, and leaders. We are volunteers who give our time to help organize unique retail events, and improve the districts image through beautification and preservation projects that benefit downtown and the greater area.
