Chocolate Walk

Updated: Jan 11

The Main Street Portsmouth Chocolate Walk is in honor of the late Ellen Vetter, a MSP

founder who cared deeply about the success of downtown Portsmouth. She was the owner of B Sweete Chocolaterie, a luxury chocolate shop on Second Street. Not only did she help found MSP, but she played a big role in getting our award-winning design committee off the ground.

The Walk

The walk starts at Port City Cafe and Pub, where guests receive a walking map of downtown Portsmouth that includes all of the delicious stops. Over 30 businesses participate, all being different from the one before it. You may get a Hershey bar at one stop-- but you could also get chocolate-covered strawberries or crickets at another. Businesses get very unique when planning most of the stops. The walk grew in 2019, welcoming small businesses from all over town for the first time. The tickets for these were considered premium and allowed walkers to end their day driving to a dozen more stops.
Chocolate Walk 2023 is set for February 11, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets must be claimed by 1 p.m.
